Over the Fourth of July weekend we went camping in Maine, just outside of Acadia National Park. On
the way up there we drove along the coast and stopped in Freeport (of course LL Bean was a must). Once we arrived we had a
great time hiking, swimming, cooking over the fire, and sightseeing in Bar Harbor. Acadia was beautiful and our girls
loved climbing around Cadillac Mountain.
On the 4th we went to downtown Bar Harbor where they had a live band and lit fireworks off over Frenchmen's
Bay. We arrived two hours before the fireworks just to make sure we had good seats on the grass. Unfortunately,
once the fireworks began the girls started crying. We had to rush out, stepping over hundreds of people, to try to get
to the car. Good times.
